With the Automatic Bill Payment Plan, you won't have to spend time writing or mailing checks, or driving and waiting in line. Actually, paying your utility bill won't take any time at all!

HOW THE PLAN WORKS.

The amount due will be paid automatically from your checking or savings account to Thumb Electric Cooperative on the 22nd of each month. The payment will be listed on your monthly checking or savings account statement. Applications received after the 15th of each month will be processed the following month.

METER READING.

Please call Thumb Electric Cooperative at 989-658-8571 or 1-800-327-0166 with your meter reading the same day each month.  You may also report your meter reading 24-hours a day through TEC's automated telephone system by pressing a "2" after you dial the above listed telephone number or by accessing TEC's home page on the internet at http://www.tecmi.coop.


QUICK ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

How do I sign up?  

Simply complete the enrollment form and mail it with a voided check or savings deposit slip. 

How will my bill be paid if I choose to enroll in the Checking/Savings Account Plan?

TEC will inform your financial-institution of the amount due and they will automatically deduct that amount from your account on the 22nd of each month.

How will I know the amount of my bill? 

Thumb Electric Cooperative will send you a bill each month indicating the net amount to be withdrawn from your checking or savings account.

What if I have a question about the amount of my bill?  

You should contact Thumb Electric Cooperative. We would be happy to answer your questions.

How can I be sure my utility bill has been paid?  

Your next account statement from your financial institution will reflect your payment.

How can I discontinue my participation in the Automatic Bill Payment Plan that I am currently enrolled in?  

Simply call or write Thumb Electric Cooperative.

Is there a charge for this service?  

No. Any Automatic Bill Payment Plan you enroll in is offered by Thumb Electric Cooperative free of charge.

What should I do if I change my financial institution?  

You will need to complete a new enrollment form.
