Summary:

The Business Intern is responsible for supporting the Administrative Services Director with various tasks. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial forecasting, data analysis, and marketing while contributing to real-world projects that impact our members and communities. This internship can cater to a wide variety of student backgrounds.

Position Responsibilities:

•  Assist the Administrative Services Director with the design, analysis, and implementation of business practices.

•  Support market viability studies, including cost analysis, community impact, and legal regulations.

•  Perform fieldwork, including case study investigation and data collection under the supervision of the Administrative Services Director.

•  Aid in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and technical documentation.

•  Document workflow and suggest efficiency improvements.

•  Compare budgeted vs. actual expenses for a department, highlighting trends and anomalies.

•  Analyze industry marketing strategies, pricing, and positioning and present insights to department heads.

•  Participate in team meetings, safety trainings, and cooperative-wide initiatives.

•  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities Required:

  • The position  requires  a  person  who  is  currently  pursuing  or  recently  completed  a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of business with general knowledge of Microsoft Suite.  Upperclassmen preferred.

  • Must have a high level of manual dexterity - - utilize both hands simultaneously to operate computers, electronics, etc.

  • Must utilize telephones and other voice communications while speaking clearly and concisely.
